A1:   All functions are the same.Just outward appearance is different. UV-5RE has a flash light mode in bulb.They are all using the same battery parts No.2-109.

A6:   NO, UV-5R do not have SCR function.

Q7:   UV-5R have repeater shift / repeater offset ?

A7:   Yes, you can set it at menu 26.

Q8:   UV-5R can set alpha name in channel ?

A8:   It can but need to set it by software.

Q9:    UV-5R have DTMF ?

A9:    UV-5R have DTMF ST (DTMF TONE OR TRANSMITTING CODE)

Q10:  The PTT Earpiece / Speaker mic / Prog. cable of UV-5R is not working

A10:   You can try to press the earpiece more closer to the radio firmly.

Q11:   UV-5R radio have band marine?

A11:   This radio have not marine band, but it can tune to this frequency.

Q12:   Walki not transmit and have sounds a high beep each time when you  

            press the PTT at any rate, give me a solution to this issue.

A12:   Please check that if your radio is switch on the Offset function and      

           then set the frequency of out range. If yes, it will over the

           available frequency, you can close this function.
