We advise you to descale the coffee maker to prolong its life span. For descaling only use products especially made for descaling of coffee makers and follow their instruction manual. Then rinse the appliance twice with fresh water, without coffee powder. Guarantee claims will not be accepted for appliances that have not been descaled.
Never use a dishwasher to clean the jug. Just clean it in soapsuds.
To clean the plastic parts of the appliance, use a damp, non abrasive cloth.
When you notice that the coffee making process is longer than it should be, it is probably time to decalcify the appliance. Do not wait until the situation gets worse. The descaling frequency depends on the amount of lime in water and therefore can be different from family to family.
